Pre-Sessional English for foundation pathways at the University of Birmingham
Boost your English language level in preparation for a foundation pathway with a Pre-Sessional English (PSE) course run by the University of Birmingham.
All Pre-Sessional English courses are taught at the Birmingham International Academy (BIA), which is situated right on the University’s Edgbaston campus.
What is a Pre-Sessional English course?
Why might I need a PSE course?
The BIA has a range of Pre-Sessional English courses for students with both conditional and unconditional offers to study at the University of Birmingham.
The length of the course will depend on your current English level and will focus on improving your spoken English and academic writing skills. At the end of your course, you will have the required level of English to study your foundation pathway.
The on-campus location will also allow you to experience university life from day one, helping you settle in to student life abroad.
Benefits of studying a PSE course in Birmingham
Guaranteed accommodation on or close to campus
for the duration of your PSE and foundation pathway
Experience student life in an exciting part of England
