Living expenses in Canada

Paying for your university education is only one aspect of your expenses when studying abroad in Canada. You’ll also need to ensure you have enough money to live comfortably in your new destination. Here are some other cost considerations:

  • To be able to live in Canada as a student, you must prove that you have enough money to pay for university tuition and fees plus an additional CAD$10,000 per academic year (for living expenses)
  • Tuition and student fees do not include the cost of textbooks, course materials, and other supplies associated with your program of study, so you need to budget extra for these
