Simmons Kaplan Women’s Leadership Scholarship

The Simmons Kaplan Women’s Leadership Scholarship is an exciting opportunity open to aspiring women leaders around the world.

High-achieving female international students applying through a Kaplan educational agent, or directly to Kaplan, are considered for a renewable undergraduate scholarship worth more than $80,000 over 4 years – or 50% of tuition costs. To apply for this scholarship, submit a complete application for admission, and a video (no longer than 3 minutes) or essay describing your interest in women’s leadership.

Academic level

To be considered for a place at Simmons University, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in your previous studies. If you are applying to transfer from a university in another country, you will also need to provide a course-by-course evaluation from an approved external provider.
English language
English proficiency requirements for Year 1 or transfer admission:
- TOEFL / KiBT 83
- TOEFL Essentials 8.0
- IELTS / IELTS Indicator 6.5
- PTE 60
- Duolingo DET 105
- SAT EBRW 550
- ACT English 21
- Kaplan International Languages Advanced Level
Conditional admission can be offered for students with lower English levels. This is valid for one year. Within this time, you can choose to study at a Kaplan International Language school in Boston (or elsewhere in the US) or submit a qualifying English language score.

Director of Student Experience, USA

Dr. O'Toole oversees operations, manages the Student Life Coordinators, and monitors and updates student records for the Pathways program at Northeastern. Prior to joining Pathways, Dr. O'Toole was a Senior Global Ambassador at the University of Arizona. She was also a study abroad director in Spain and Costa Rica. Dr. O'Toole's other previous work includes teaching Spanish online and in-person at community colleges and universities, and tutoring English to adult refugee communities. BA Italian / BA Film and Television (University of Arizona), MA Education Administration (University of Arizona), PhD Spanish Literature and Cultural Studies (University of Arizona). Leslie speaks English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
