University of Victoria transfer admission
If you have already earned undergraduate credits from a university in Canada or somewhere else, you may be able to complete your studies at the University of Victoria (UVic). You can do this by applying for transfer admission.
What is transfer admission?
Transfer admission is open to undergraduate students who have already earned some academic credits from another higher education institution or college but would like to complete their studies at UVic.
If this applies to you, transfer admission may be a good route to a Canadian degree. You can apply to transfer into Year 2 or Year 3 of any bachelor’s degree, and UVic will decide how many of your existing credits can be counted towards your program. As part of your application, you must submit all your transcripts. These transcripts will be evaluated for both admission and transfer-credit purposes.
When you finish your studies, you will graduate with a degree from the University of Victoria.

You might qualify for transfer admission if:
- You’ve already completed some university-level coursework
- You have achieved good results to date (some degree programs require a high academic standing for entry)
- You hold a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (no subscore below 6.0) or equivalent
