International Foundation Programme student services
As an International Foundation Programme student, you’ll have access to all of the University of Bristol’s resources, including a comprehensive student support service. If you ever need help with anything, you will have someone to talk to.
Important notice: blended learning is planned for all students from Autumn. See the latest coronavirus-related updates on our dedicated FAQs page.
Talk to someone
There is a range of services available for your wellbeing at the University of Bristol, and Wellbeing Access can provide professional support and guidance, helping you adjust to university life. The University Students Union also offers advice and support services, ensuring that you’ll always have someone to talk to.
Academic support will always be available to you during the International Foundation Programme, helping you to stay on track. You will have a personal academic tutor, and will attend frequent academic tutorials to support your professional development.
Positive wellbeing and success is an integral part of the International Foundation Programme. Advisers are based in the University’s academic Schools and in your programme-allocated residence. Through the Wellbeing Access email address, staff can advise you or connect you with the appropriate support and resources. These include the Student Wellbeing Service, Student Health Service and Student Counselling Service.
Like most UK universities, the University of Bristol has a Welcome Week before classes begin. There will be a number of fun and exciting events and activities to participate in, helping you to meet new people, make new friends and have a fantastic introduction to student life in Bristol. Many of these events are free, and other events will continue to be organised after Welcome Week has finished. We strongly recommend that you take part in the fun; it will help you have the best possible start to your International Foundation Programme!
