Here are some of the best universities to study a Psychology degree.  

University of York  

Ranked 11th in the UK for the subject (Guardian University Guide 2025), the University of York is an excellent place to study Psychology. As a member of the prestigious Russell Group, it’s one of the leading UK universities for research, so you’ll receive a first-class and up-to-date education. 

You’ll also benefit from brilliant facilities while studying at York. Its Psychology Department is in the heart of Campus West and includes the impressive York Neuroimaging Centre. This research hub has two MRI scanners and an MEG scanner, allowing you to study the human brain in detail.

The latter enables you to progress directly to the second year of your chosen bachelor’s degree!
