New IYO route: study Engineering at City, University of London

As we near the end of 2024, we are getting ready to launch some very exciting new International Year One (IYO) study routes in 2025. But we just couldn’t wait until the new year to shout about this one: you can now study an IYO in Engineering and progress to the second year of a bachelor’s degree at City, University of London!

How can I study Engineering at City?

You can study an IYO in Engineering at Kaplan International College (KIC) London in the heart of the UK’s capital. Our expert tutors have been teaching this course for many years, and preparing international students for Engineering degrees at top UK universities.

In our latest student satisfaction survey, 90% of KIC London students felt that their programme helped them feel prepared for their university studies. This means you’ll be in great hands, and learn important Engineering subject knowledge that will help you feel ready for Year 2 of your bachelor’s degree at City.

What degrees can I progress to?

Once you have passed your IYO with the right grades and good attendance, you can progress to these degrees at City:

  • MEng/BEng Aerospace Engineering​
  • MEng/BEng Civil and Infrastructure Engineering​
  • MEng/BEng Engineering Systems​
  • MEng/BEng Mechanical and Design Engineering

When can I study?

You can apply to study right now! The first intake is in January 2025 for progression to City, University of London in September 2025. Alternatively, you can join our next intake, which is in September 2025, and progress to university in September 2026.
