Paying for your studies in the UK
If you are planning to apply or have already accepted an offer to study with us, find answers to common questions about paying for your studies in the UK.
Application and administration fees
If you receive and accept an offer to study with us, you will generally be charged a £260 administration fee, which you need to pay as part of your deposit. This fee covers services such as academic eligibility assessments and issuing documentation.
It’s free to apply with Kaplan in the UK — we do not charge an application fee.
Paying your deposit
Typically, you need to pay a deposit to confirm your place with us. This deposit includes part of your tuition fees, the cost of learning materials, as well as a £260 administration fee and an insurance fee (where applicable).
When you receive a study offer and once you’ve paid your deposit, you will receive an invoice that tells you the remaining amount that you need to pay towards tuition and other items. Please refer to your invoice for details of what you need to pay.
Because we have regular intakes throughout the year, there is no deadline for paying your deposit. However, you need to pay your deposit in order to receive your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) in time. You’ll need your CAS for your visa application, so the sooner you pay your deposit, the better! When we have received your deposit and you have obtained your visa, you’ll be able to enrol for the next available intake.
Once you have paid your deposit, the portion of it that goes towards your tuition fees will be deducted from the overall cost left to pay. So, for example, if your total tuition fees are £20,000 and your tuition fee deposit is £5,000, the remaining amount you need to pay for tuition would be £15,000.
Your invoice
Your invoice will be sent to you when your offer is issued. The invoice can be accessed through the Online Payment Portal, which you can find in your Student Account. You’ll be invited to register for your Student Account about a week after your offer is issued.
Ways to pay
We accept payments through bank transfers or through our secure Flywire payment portal. You can make a payment in your home currency that Flywire will process at wholesale exchange rates. Through Flywire, you will also be able to track the status of your payment.
Your offer letter will include details of how to log in to our payment portal and make payments through the Flywire website.

Early payment discounts may apply at certain times of the year. Contact your agent or Market Manager for details of any early payment discounts available.
