Kaplan students rate their experience highly in 2026

It’s really important to us that our students enjoy their time in our Kaplan colleges, and that it helps them feel prepared for university. That’s why we ask them to tell us about their experience in our annual student satisfaction survey.

We’re pleased to say that in 2026, students are rating their experience highly.

Survey results

We asked our Spring intake students a series of key questions. Of those who responded to the survey:

94%

said they were happy with their overall experience

93%

agreed that they felt prepared for their university studies

93%

would recommend their College as a good place to study

We’re thrilled that 94% of students said they were happy with their overall experience. With small class sizes and personalised support, our colleges aim to give every student a place where they feel happy and valued. This is backed by the fact that 95% of students felt college staff cared about their success.

An impressive 93% of students also said they would recommend their College as a good place to study. This is reflected in their answers to other questions. A fantastic 90% of students said that the teaching on their programme was good, and 86% felt a part of their student community.

Most importantly, 93% of students felt prepared for university. That’s what degree preparation is all about — helping students build the skills and confidence they need to take the next step. We’re so proud that our teaching is setting them up for success.

University of York International Pathway College

Some results were even better when broken down by College. At the University of York International Pathway College, a brilliant 96% of students were happy with their experience. Even more of them felt well-supported. A huge 98% agreed that college staff cared about their health and happiness, and 99% felt they cared about their success.

Students in York benefit from the University’s scenic campus, where they become part of a welcoming and diverse community as soon as they arrive. In fact, York has even been named the UK’s most friendly city (Aviva, 2025)!

Bournemouth University International College

At Bournemouth University International College, the outcomes were also outstanding. Here, 94% of students felt prepared for university. Looking even further ahead, 92% said they developed useful knowledge and skills for their career.

Clearly, Bournemouth is a great place to study, and it also offers lots outside the classroom. The local area is home to six Blue Flag beaches, recognised for their water quality and environmental safety. It also hosts major concerts and world-class sport — something good is always happening.

Digital Pathways

There were remarkable results from our Digital Pathways, too. Students on this flexible, fully online option can learn from almost anywhere in the world, receiving the same high-quality teaching and dedicated support as on-campus students.

That is demonstrated by the fact that 99% of Digital Pathways students were happy with their overall experience, and the same number felt prepared for their university studies!

Students also strongly approved of their digital learning experience. An impressive 98% enjoyed the online activities with teachers and classmates. It’s no surprise that 99% would recommend Digital Pathways. It’s an ideal choice for those who want to study online before coming to the UK for their degree.
