With the Spring intake, you can take the same courses with progression to the same top universities, just at a starting point that fits your journey. In many cases, you will even be able to progress that Autumn, so you’ll still graduate on time!

How does the Spring intake work?
The Spring intake runs from January to May at all our Kaplan-run colleges in the UK, so if you missed the Autumn intake, you won’t have to wait long to start. You can choose from:
- Foundation Certificates
- International Year One courses
- Pre-Master’s courses
Some of our fast-track courses even let you progress to university in the same year, so you won’t lose any time. For example, this is a sample timeline:

Progress to university at the same time as Autumn starters
A Spring-start preparation course is also a great option if you missed out on direct admission in Autumn. It gives you time to settle into life in the UK, practise your English and meet international students heading to the same university.
You could even study your preparation course online with our Digital Pathways. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of studying remotely from your home country, moving to the UK in the Autumn when you start your degree.
What to expect when you start in Spring
Thousands of students start their courses every Spring, so you’ll enjoy a lively atmosphere in our colleges. Whichever term you arrive in, the first week is Welcome Week, when your college organises lots of fun trips and events to help you meet your classmates and settle into life in the UK. It’s the perfect start to your UK study experience.
You can also book accommodation through Kaplan, living alongside other international students and benefiting from our dedicated support. Each residence also holds regular events throughout the year in the cosy social lounges, so you can connect with other residents and make friends for life!

You’ll get the same expert teaching and amazing college experience whether you start in Spring or August. In fact, our Spring starters are very successful indeed!
Among our 2024 graduates, 90% of those who started in Spring passed their preparation course. Of those students, a huge 87% received an unconditional offer for their first-choice degree!
