How to complete your UVic Bachelor of Commerce application
Applying for the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) at the University of Victoria?
If so, you’ll need to complete your application package — including your supplemental application.

40% supplemental application
60% grades in previous study
There are four mandatory parts to this supplemental application. If it has been more than one year since your last completed studies, there is a fifth mandatory part.
You must complete all applicable parts and include as one PDF file before Kaplan can submit your BCom application package to UVic.
What do I need to do?
Step 1
Gather your transcripts
- Grade 10
- Grade 11
- Grade 12
Step 2
Supply proof of English proficiency
- CAEL 70, IELTS 6.5, MET 64, or TOEFL 90 are accepted
- Completion of 1.5 more units of transfer credit for university-level English courses is also accepted
Step 3
Write a personal statement
- This statement should answer the question, “How will your lived experiences contribute to making a positive change in our campus community?
- 250 words or more
Step 4
Provide passport or government ID
- Ensure it’s a clear image of your ID, with all essential information visible
Step 5
Has it been over a year since you last studied?
You’ll need to prepare a résumé in addition to the above documents.
