  • Dr Mehmood Khan (Pakistan)

    Graduated from the University of Liverpool

    Earned an MB ChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in 1981.

    Lifetime achievements

    PepsiCo’s Vice-Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer of Global Research and Development. Khan serves as Chair of the PepsiCo’s Sustainability Council, a role that oversees the PepsiCo global Performance with Purpose sustainability initiative.

  • Dr Ong Teng Cheong (Singapore)

    Graduated

    In 1967 with a Master’s degree in Urban Planning.

    Lifetime achievements

    A Singaporean architect and politician, who held the positions of Cabinet Minister and Deputy Prime Minister before becoming the first elected President of Singapore in 1993.

  • Dr Tung Chee-hwa (China)

    Graduated from the University of Liverpool

    Earned a BEng in Marine Engineering in 1960 and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Law (LLD) in 1997.

    Lifetime achievements

    The first Chief Executive of Hong Kong until 2005. He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

  • John Chuang (Singapore)

    Graduated from the University of Liverpool

    Earned a BENg in Mechanical Engineering in 1973.

    Lifetime achievements

    Co-founder and CEO of confectionery company Petra Foods, one of the world’s largest cocoa-producing companies. Chuang was ranked by Forbes as the 22nd richest man in Singapore in 2013.

  • Kelly Davies (UK)

    Graduated from the University of Liverpool

    Earned an MBA in Football Industries in 2007.

    Lifetime achievements

    Former Arsenal and Liverpool footballer. Davies won 63 caps for Wales during her professional career and is the youngest woman to obtain an MBA in the Football Industries. She is also the founder of Vi-Ability; a social business that tackles the issues of commercially unsustainable football clubs and youth disengagement from education.

  • Olimpia de la Rosa Vázquez (Spain)

    Graduated from the University of Liverpool

    Earned an MSc Public Health in 2012.

    Lifetime achievements

    Senior humanitarian and health adviser for Save the Children. Vázquez helped to co-ordinate Médecins Sans Frontières’ (MSF’s) mission to contain outbreaks of the Ebola virus and Meningitis A.

  • Professor Har Gobind Khorana (India)

    Graduated from the University of Liverpool

    Earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry in 1948.

    Lifetime achievements

    Nobel Prize winner in Physiology and Medicine for his crucial contribution to deciphering the genetic code.

  • Sean Gallitz (USA)

    Graduated from the University of Liverpool

    Earned an MA in Politics and Mass Media in 2010.

    Lifetime achievements

    American Digital Journalist and Associate Producer for CBS News. Gallitz reports, films and produces breaking news stories across the west coast of the USA.
