Missed the September intake? You can still start a pathway course in 2019!

If you’ve just missed the September intake this year, there’s still time to apply to start a pathway course in October or November 2019 — if you’re quick!

By starting a pathway course this year, you’ll still be able to progress to your degree in September 2020.

What courses are available?

Whether you’re interested in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, there are options for you to enrol on a pathway course in 2019. For bachelor’s degrees, you can take either a Foundation Certificate (for entry to the 1st year) or an International Year One  (for progression directly to the 2nd year).

If you want to study a postgraduate degree, a Pre-Master’s will prepare you for entry to a master’s degree. A Pre-Doctorate, meanwhile, will help you apply for a doctoral degree.

What are the entry requirements?

  • Foundation Certificate
    • Completion of high school
    • Typically UKVI IELTS 5.0 overall, with no less than 4.0 in any skill
  • International Year One
    • Completion of high school with good grades
    • Typically UKVI IELTS 5.0 overall, with no less than 4.5 in any skill
  • Pre-Master's
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Typically UKVI IELTS 5.0 overall, with no less than 5.0 in any skillcille
  • Pre-Doctorate
    • A master’s degree, good bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Typically UKVI IELTS 5.5 overall, with no less than 5.0 in any skill
