We're excited to report some fantastic news from the UK government today — under new proposals released by the Home Office, international students will soon be able to work in the UK for up to 2 years after graduation!
"Our international students deserve this"
Under rules in place since 2012, international students could only remain in the UK for 4 months after finishing their degree. According to the new proposals, if you start a degree from September 2020 onwards, you will be able to remain in the country to work for 2 years, no matter what subject you decide to study. This new rule applies to both bachelor's and master's degrees.
Linda Cowan, the Managing Director (UK) of Kaplan International Pathways, was one of the first to share this brilliant news.
Hours and hours of work across the sector over the last few years resulting in positive change. Our international students deserve this. Welcomed news. https://t.co/C6MctmlhCw
