It’s that time of year again! September signals the arrival of autumn, but it also means that Kaplan students have started to arrive at their study locations across the UK — that’s right, it’s Welcome Week!
It’s an exciting time for students and staff alike, so we thought we’d share some highlights from the Welcome Weeks taking place at some of our UK colleges.
What happens during Welcome Week?
Arriving in a new place can be daunting, and it can take some time to get used to your new surroundings — that’s why we organise a Welcome Week for new students. It gives you the chance to meet other students, the staff at the College, and get to know your way around before you start your classes.
As well as this, you can join in with lots of activities and social events that are organised by the College throughout the week. These include everything from treasure hunts to table tennis tournaments, and they’re a great way to meet lots of new people.
Welcome Week 2019 at our colleges
And it’s not over yet!
So far, we’ve welcomed over 3,000 students to our UK colleges during our Autumn 2019 intake, but there are more students still to arrive! If you want to study a pathway course for entry to a degree at university in September 2020, then there’s still time — find out more about how you can start a pathway course in October/November 2019.
We hope that this is the beginning of a fantastic academic year for everybody, and we’re excited to see our students following their path to university, their way.
