KIC London MPP student succeeds at Durham University

29 Jul 2016 - Sarah Nietopski

Meet Laura Dewulf, a graduate of Kaplan International College (KIC) London and current student at Durham University. She completed a Multi-Progression Pathway (MPP) Foundation Certificate at KIC London. This gave her the support and preparation she needed to progress to one of the UK’s best universities.

Laura, from Belgium, chose the MPP for its flexibility, saying, “I didn’t really know if I wanted to study Economics or Business, so I thought that doing a Multi-Progression Pathway would be a good way to consider my options. Furthermore, during the MPP I received lessons in Economics and Business – these helped me to make my choice!”

The MPP lets students study at top-ranking UK universities without having to choose a specific degree or institution from the start. After enrolling on the MPP Foundation Certificate, you can then apply to any university in the country. When you successfully complete your MPP Foundation Certificate, you are guaranteed entry to a relevant undergraduate degree at a UK university.

After completing her Foundation Certificate, Laura was accepted at Durham University, ranked in the top 5 universities in the UK by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide. It is in the top 10 for many subjects, including Business and Management, Economics, and Engineering. Durham, as well as many other top-50 universities in the UK, recognise the MPP award.

Laura now feels well prepared for her challenging undergraduate degree. “I have noticed that several topics that we have covered at Durham were familiar to me, because I studied them at KIC London. My MPP course offered me insight into my degree.”
