03 Aug 2017 - Caroline Bluemel, Head of Marketing at Kaplan Open Learning

Kaplan Open Learning (KOL), an experienced learning provider and part of Kaplan International Pathways, has worked in partnership with the University of Essex since 2007 to deliver high-quality online degrees. This successful partnership was recently recognised within the wider education sector after Kaplan Open Learning was shortlisted for public/private partnership of the year at the first-ever PIEoneer Awards.

The PIEoneer Awards honour achievement and innovation in the international education industry. With a distinguished judging panel representing geographical and professional diversity, The PIEoneer Awards seek to recognise both individuals and organisations who are pushing professional standards, evolving their engagement or redefining the international student experience.

Nicola Pittman, Managing Director of Kaplan Open Learning, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. A strong and adaptive approach to student support is the backbone of our partnership with the University of Essex, and we pride ourselves on both our pioneering approach to education and the passionate and dedicated online community we have created.

The winners will be announced at an awards evening to be held at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in central London on Friday 8 September 2017.
